Every winter, from late November to early March, thousands of pink flamingos migrate from Rann of Kutch and Siberia to Sambhar Lake to feed on the specialized algae in the saline waters. Our drivers know the exact viewpoints where flocks gather close to the banks.
Can our cab drive directly onto the white salt flats?
To ensure passenger safety and preserve the delicate wetland ecosystem, vehicles are parked safely on the firm embankments directly adjacent to the salt flats. From there, you can easily walk out onto the crusty salt horizon for photographs.
Can we start this tour in the morning instead of afternoon?
